The Liberation day fun regatta will be sailed in two identical T450 yachts over a two day period. The emphasis is on fun & the negatta rules prescribed for this event are a reflection of that.
Teams are made up of 2 or 3 people with experience & weight restrictions to keep the racing fun & even. The racing will be organized on a knockout basis with the final 2 teams racing for the “Liberation Cup”.
This regatta is intended to introduce people to sailing & we encourage novices & young people to participate.

The boats being used in the regatta is the T450, built in Vietnam, refer www.tboat.com/T450/T450.html.
They are seft  righting and a fun family boat, suitable for intermediate sailors with some sailing experience & novices.
The boats are setup for novies to enjoy their sailing experience.
